Travel the world with me as I share stories, tips, and photos of the places I see.

My adventure

Most people when I tell them my travel plans say that’s great for a couple of years then you’re coming back right? That is not the plan. The plan is to travel the world for about 10 years, come back renew my passport then go back and see things I didn’t see the first time. I expect I’ll find a place to call home, probably in Europe and at that point I will get a Visa and do what I have to for residency.

What’s the plan you ask? Good question here you go…

Puerto Vallarta Mexico for 3 weeks beginning November 10th give or take.

Belize for 3 weeks: some of that will be staying in a monkey preserve. That I’m really looking forward to!

Costa Rica for 3 weeks, to get some new teeth, it’s a lot cheaper than the United States.

Panama for 2 weeks, and then down to South America for a few months. I want to be in Brazil for carnival and then go meet my daughter-in-law’s family. Machu Picchu, end of the world in Chile, which is the southernmost town in the whole world, hopefully Easter Island. That will take me until next August.

I’ll be coming back to Cape Cod for a few weeks then I’m off to Sicily with a girlfriend for two weeks! We are staying in an 18th century palace, will have cooking classes, go on wine, chocolate and history tours for the first week (www.whereinSicily.com). Week two we are going to jaunt around Sicily. This will be so fun!!

Then I’m solo again and headed to China for a week to the Great Wall to cross off an item on my bucket list.

After that, Japan for three months!! I’ll be staying with my son and daughter-in-law outside of Tokyo. We’ll travel, I’ll get a tattoo (yup, already have it planned and appointment made), and hopefully I’ll figure out how to use chopsticks! 🥢

That brings the date to January 2026. The next 4 months will be spent in Southeast Asia and Australia where I’ll visit family,  from my dad’s side, that I’ve only met online.

May 2026 is my BIG 6-0 birthday month!! 🧁This lady is going to Egypt for the whole month!! This is #1 on my bucket list. I’m so excited!! For my actual birthday, I’ll be on a Nile cruise. Come join me!!

I may do some African exploration after that, not sure yet. But then in October it’s off to Bucket List item #3… Dracula’s Castle (ok, ok, I know, it’s Vlad the Impaler’s castle, just go with me on this one). Actually, will be on a 12 day, 12 Castle tour of Romania including dinner at Dracula’s Castle!!

So that’s my list for the next two years. Only three things are set in stone, everything else is open for change depending on things like my health, the political climate, weather, money, and if I love a place and want to stay longer. There is only one more item on my travel Bucket List, The Orient Express. Quite pricey, this requires saving up for a while.

What’s next? Who knows. The plan, in my head, is to travel for 10 years, come back to the US, renew my passport then off to see what I didn’t get to the first time!

You, my friends, are welcome to join me wherever I am. I’d love to see your faces! 😁
